* If you have Body Rolling equipment, please bring it.
* Otherwise, balls, mats and water will be provided.
* Eat lightly before class or at least 2 hours prior.

The main focus of YBR is to restore alignment and balance in the whole body. The routines are designed to optimize health, well-being and freedom of movement. To that end, nothing is neglected and the intelligence of the entire body is invoked in the healing process of specific conditions. You'll experience a deep release of the tightness as you iron out tension, tightness and stress from your body.
Description:
In this series you will master each of the fundamental Yamuna Body Rolling routines. You'll experience a deep level of physical connection by engaging your body awareness, sensitivity and intuition. Participants learn to use small 6 to 10” rubber balls and other props to roll out, stretch and elongate muscles from head to toe! Body Rolling routines allow you to let go of unproductive patterns working specific muscles in detail, to create suppleness in tight areas and optimize range of motion.

HAMSTRINGS & CALVES
QUADRICEPS & ADDUCTORS
Benefits: Working the back, the front and the inner aspects of the thigh helps restore balance, alignment and suppleness to the entire leg and gain full medial & lateral hip rotation. It also helps re-align the knee, supports better tracking and generally reduces friction between the bones by creating intra-articular space. This also helps reduce inflammation and pain caused by various forms of arthritis.
SPINE / BACK
Benefits: Rolling the spine helps release back tension and improve posture. It creates increased intervertebral space, taking pressure off the discs of the back and the neck.
CHEST & UPPER ARM – biceps
Benefits: This routine helps loosen up restrictions in the upper torso and shoulder joint which often are the result of tightness in the chest area. It improves shoulder, arm and neck mobility while gradually correcting posture and increasing lung capacity.
NECK
Benefits: Previous routines have already contributed to releasing neck tightness & pain but here we directly identify and address the specific points of tension. Space will be created between the cervical vertebrae as the various groups of muscles elongate and take their proper place. This routine will also help reduce the extent of scar tissue and adhesions that restrict range of motion of the shoulders, head and neck.
SIDELINE & UPPER ARM – triceps
ABDOMINAL MUSCLES
Benefits: The focus of these routines is to create space & length between the lower limbs, the pelvis, the rib cage and the arms. In doing so, we increase lateral breathing capacity and flexibility of the ribs, which frees the shoulders, neck and head. We feel longer, freer and lighter! The abdominal routine is particularly useful for lower back conditions - it stretches the back muscles from... the front!
FEET
Benefits: YBR Foot Fitness stimulates all the reflexology point in the feet to improve superficial circulation, develop flexibility in the muscles while restoring full function to the feet, toes and ankles.
